Professor Xesús Alonso Montero uses the term "alófonos" when he writes about these authors and finds many cases of allophony throughout the history. As far as Galicia is concerned and leaving aside the special case of medieval lyric in Galician-Portuguese, he mentions Leite de Vasconcelos, Rodríguez Marín, Gumersindo Laverde, Gonzalo Cantó and Joao Verde, as authors of many other literary exercises, and naturally the five patriots of Galician language we remember in this work: Carles Riba, Juán Pérez Creus, Anne Marie Morris, Gerald Denley and Federico García Lorca.

This audiovisual sample of Galician poetry is the continuation of another previous one ("Longa noite de pedra: poetas da guerra e da posguerra."). "Un paso de poesía" starts from 1960 and increases fifteen years. It consists of thirty-six different poets, going from brilliant writers such as Celso Emilio Ferreiro up to other perfectly dispensable ones.

A hundred years before 17th May 1963, Rosalía had signed the dedication of her work CANTARES GALEGOS to Fernán Caballero. Two months before this commemoration, the Galician Academy accepted and made real a proposal to declare the 17th of May as the Day of the Galician Letters, a date to exalt and disseminate the Galician intellectual activity.
