One of the most outstanding characteristics of human condition is articulated language and, at the same time, the acquisition of oral language during childhood is one of the most notable and surprising processes of human development. It is surprising because of two aspects: the quickness in acquiring it and its universality.

That’s the second issue of doggerels, ballads and poems that came to us after the 1970’s in many collections carried out by means of performances, journeys, meetings, friends, etc. Just as in the same compilation book, many of the oral collections were kept with recorders, films, videos, photographs and even notes or the exact reflection of the original documents. We include three CDs with the original recordings.

We try to systemize, order and classify the files to give them back to the people who lend them. That’s an obligation for us taken since the very beginning. People always knew that doggerels and ballads were collected so that traditional culture could be preserved. We committed ourselves to bring it out someday and we’re working on it.
